

Lighting Reference from Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
Firstly I made a quick environment blockout of the scene, paying attention to the rough proportions, camera angles and layout. The scene was made with 3ds max, Arnold and The light set up consisted of a dome light with a warm HDR and a portal light above the skylight. It then had four lights above the skylight, angled just enough to catch the right angles. All the angled lights used a Gobo filter to achieve the fake caustics like shapes using a layered caustics map. In post using Nuke, some warm tones were added to the shadows and a little DOF.
